Spindle speed 2,2KW H-100 series
I have problems with my spindle speed. I checked the RPM with a tachometer but its spinning 4 times as fast as what i put in in mach3.
I have a pokey57CNC board. The spindle I have is a 24000 rpm 2,2kw spindle whith a H-100 series VFD
My settings are:
multiplier: 0.00416
kernel speed: 20 khz
PWM base: 2000
motor revolutions: 3000
poles: 2
Pulley ratio: 1
How can i change this?
If i change the pulley ratio nothing happens. What is the best settings I can change to have a 1 :1 ratio speed?
I guess the multiplier is correct.

Re: Spindle speed 2,2KW H-100 series
I always use this Mach3 plug-in:
http://royaumedeole.fr/informatique/plu ... nyang-vfd/
Together with a USB to RS485 converter stick this works really great and is very accurite but keep in mind that the speed is the control frequency, not the real speed, the amount of slip between frequency and real speed is always giving some difference.
Its something like 3000 vs. 2880 rpm @ 50 Hz, which gives 24000 vs. 23000 rpm @ 400 Hz.
If you want to stay using your 0 - 10V control then change the multiplier value.
Be aware of the very noise sensitive way of control, especially in the lower range of control.

Re: Spindle speed 2,2KW H-100 series
I have the same problem also with a h 100 inverter and a 1.5 kw spindel 6000 prm to 24000 prm.
Re: Spindle speed 2,2KW H-100 series
Ah, so its maybe the VFD that's the problem or they come with a wrong setting.
I'm aware its getting some difference but overall its 4 times faster.
@benkr: Thanks for the tip, ill give it a try. Its also working with other chinese VFD's? as mine isn't a Huanyang.
@Jan1ydanne: What did you do to get the at 1:1 ratio? adjusting the multiplier?

Re: Spindle speed 2,2KW H-100 series
I doubt your spindle only has 2 poles. Try changing poles from 2 to 8
There are only 2 limits, the sky and your imagination
Re: Spindle speed 2,2KW H-100 series
I guess it has 4 poles, but the speed doesn't change if i change it to 4. Its a gdz80x73 2.2 spindle
Re: Spindle speed 2,2KW H-100 series
I found a thread with a similar problem
https://en.industryarena.com/forum/huaj ... 12702.html
Checked my jumpers again, and they are on NPN, so that couldnt be the case
I cant view the file (HuaJiangH100VFD.xls ) with the solution posted unfortunately.
Is there someone else that can view it?
